VP OF NIGERIA SURVIVES CHOPPER CRASHCOMES TRUEBY DAVID AIKMANREDEMPTION CAMP
OF RCCG
With 196 million residents, Nigeria is easily the most populous country in Africa and possesses the continent’s most powerful economy. It also has one of the largest protestant churches in Africa, the Redeemed Christian Church of God. A Spirit-filled megachurch with a global evangelistic vision, the RCCG is famous for its monthly Holy Ghost rallies and its gigantic auditorium (1.86 miles x 1.86 miles). Redemption camp quarters are located at the 46-kilometer mark on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

WAKING VISION OF A
HELICOPTER CRASH"
In February 2019 the RCCG achieved a new milestone. While praying in solitude on February 1st in preparation for the monthly Holy Ghost meeting, the General Overseer of RCCG, Rev. Enoch Adeboye, fell into a trance in which he had a waking vision of a helicopter crash involving someone in his church. However, he sensed prophetically that the crash would miraculously not lead to any casualties.

According to Pastor Tony Ojoibukun, editor of the RCCG’s official periodical, Redemption Life, Adeboye went straight into urgent prayer for the Vice President.

“God, protect your son!” he said three times, which made a profound impression on the Vice President. Nevertheless, Osinbajo was airborne a couple of days later for his campaigning. On February 3rd, the chopper malfunctioned as it was taking off from a town called Kampa in Kogi state.
It spun out of control and then into the ground.

The crew, according to Ojoibukun, responded professionally and, miraculously, not a single person was hurt in the crash.

The effect upon the RCCG church members, who had been aware of Adeboye’s prophetic vision, was electrifying. The testimony of overseer Adeboye, moreover, was streamed live to millions of followers in Nigeria and various countries of the world. At the time of the crash, the results of the Nigerian election in which President Buhari and the Vice President were campaigning were not officially known, but after congratulating Osinbajo on his miraculous chopper survival, the Nigerian President understandably confirmed his political future as Buhari’s running mate.

Tony Ojoibukun tells GODSPEED Magazine that the overall impact on RCCG worldwide has been tremendous. He explains that “it has to do with people putting their trust more in the Lord” as well as having confidence in how the Lord works through the prophetic gift of Overseer Adeboye

Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Testifies About Enoch Adeboye Prophetically Interceding in the Miraculous Helicopter CrashThe church has centers in 198 countries and encourages its members to ensure that as many as possible of their friends and contacts make it to heaven. “Remember 2 Chronicles, chapter 20, verse 20,” Pastor Tony Ojoibukun says, “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” This incident may be the first in recent memory when a prophecy has come true shortly after being recorded on live television. Expect a lot of Holy Spirit power and good fruit from this remarkable part of the global Body of Christ.

The Love of God

A true story of Godspeed Magazine's 8-year journey doing God's will. Between 2008 and 2012 my life was in shambles, I lost my stepdad, helplessly watched my business implode, underwent a painful divorce, and lost custody of my only son (at the time). The Lord called me into His will in 2012 when I was recovering from major surgery by saying there would be a movement centered around a digital publication He called GODSPEED Magazine (GSM).
