IN THE BOOK OF ESTHER,

God provides us with a glimpse of the Medo-Persian Empire at the height of its reign. The fall of Babylon at the hands of Cyrus severed the head of gold from Daniel’s statue and made way for the rise of the chest and arms of silver (kingdom of the Medes and Persians).

The struggle for pre-eminence within the ranks of this new world force was fierce and eventually, the lust for power led to a plot to destroy God’s people.

Hidden among the empire was a chosen remnant, however. Among them were those who trusted God and knew He would deliver them even against the most impossible odds.

IS ISLAM DYING?

What if God has never changed? What if I told you that right in the Middle East’s most hostile nations is a move of God so powerful and magnetic that Islam is dying?

What if God used the ones who scarcely have a voice in their respective cultures to lead the movement?

I am here to bring you a good report. Our God has not changed. Despite statistics provided by the governments of these nations, Islam is indeed facing empty mosques.

AND MOST SHOCKING OF ALL, THIS MOVEMENT IS LARGELY LED BY WOMEN. AGAINST IMPOSSIBLE ODDS, GOD IS RAISING UP MORDECAI’S AND ESTHER’S IN AN UNDERGROUND HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT SO SECRETIVE THAT WORSHIP SONGS ARE ONLY MOUTHED AND BURN PHONES ARE UTILIZED TO KEEP THE NETWORK HIDDEN

The story of who God used to foment this movement is almost as surprising as the aging loiterer and the unknown beauty from the story of Esther itself.

In today’s version, God has taken a drug dealing, rave throwing, police evading AMERICAN and moved him right into the heart of the action.

How did this happen? Through an unlikely marriage to a Koran toting, Burka wearing, extremist Muslim who once vowed to kill herself in front of a live audience to prove the God of the Bible a liar.

Without exaggeration, this is a story God is telling in our time. It is not for the mainstream, it’s not for Hollywood, it’s to advance His Kingdom. He has sent some ahead of us to make away for the many. Why does this now matter in the West? Why is it worth the risk to even share a glimpse of this story?

Perhaps, just perhaps, the story birthed in Mesopotamia so long ago is coming full circle. The story God is penning suggests there is much we can now learn from a people who recognize the call to die to enter the Kingdom.

They count the cost. They have to. Let us now pray and agree that the ointment of pure worship and sacrifice birthed in the East may now be released into the West.

I suggest this will bring about the bride our Father deserves. Pure, undefiled, wholly surrendered, glorious and bringing all the glory to the One who deserves our praise.
